Questions have been asked of why Salah decided to leave the Egypt camp, when he could have worked on his fitness in the Ivory Coast and tried to put himself in contention for outings later in the tournament, but Jurgen Klopp says the Premier League superstar will get “proper treatment” at Anfield.
WHAT MIDO SAID ABOUT SALAH
Mido, who represented the likes of Tottenham and Middlesbrough in his playing days, is not having those comments from Klopp. After seeing Salah share pictures of him undergoing light exercises at Liverpool’s training base, the outspoken former striker said in a social media post of his own: “Oh, these exercises are so dirty and rigid, it is difficult to do them except in Liverpool.”
WHAT NEXT FOR SALAH?
Egypt are set to face DR Congo in the AFCON last-16. Liverpool have said that Salah will be freed to rejoin the Pharaohs’ ranks if they make their way to the final and their talismanic captain is able to prove his fitness.
